Get answers to common questions about Under Arm Wax.
Typically hair remains away for three to six weeks depending on individual growth and hormones. Regular waxing often lengthens this interval as hair thins. We suggest booking every four weeks or when regrowth reaches about a quarter-inch to maintain smoothness.
Most clients feel brief, tolerable discomfort during the quick strip removal. Pain varies with individual sensitivity, but experienced technicians use techniques and pre-wax treatments to minimize sensation. Numbing options or aftercare can further reduce irritation for sensitive clients.
Arrive with clean, dry underarms free of deodorant or oils. Hair should be at least a quarter-inch long for effective removal. Gently exfoliate two days prior and avoid heavy sun exposure, retinol products, or blood-thinning medications before waxing.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, and vigorous exercise for 24 hours. Apply soothing aloe or antioxidant lotion and wear loose clothing to prevent irritation. Exfoliate gently after 48 hours to reduce ingrown hairs and skip alcohol-based deodorants immediately.
Some clients experience temporary redness or mild irritation, especially with sensitive skin. We perform a consultation and can use hypoallergenic waxes, perform small patch tests when needed, and recommend soothing aftercare to minimize reactions. Severe allergies are rare but should be discussed beforehand.
Most clients return every three to six weeks depending on hair growth and personal preference. For consistent smoothness, schedule appointments every four weeks. Our staff can recommend a personalized plan based on your regrowth patterns and desired maintenance frequency.
