Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Shoulder Wax.

Most shoulder waxes take about 20 to 30 minutes from consultation to finish. Timing varies with hair density and any skin prep, but we prioritize a thorough, comfortable service without rushing.

Some sensitivity is normal, but discomfort is brief. We use gentle wax formulas, precise technique, and calming pre- and post-care to reduce pain. Regular waxing often lessens sensitivity over time as hair grows back finer.

Clean skin and hair about quarter-inch long are ideal; avoid heavy creams or sunburn before waxing. Exfoliate gently 48 hours prior and skip retinoids or strong acids for several days to reduce irritation risk.

Most clients enjoy smooth shoulders for two to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles and lifestyle. Regular waxing lengthens time between appointments as hair becomes finer and regrowth slows.

Yes in many cases, but tell us about sensitivity, recent shaving, or skin treatments. If skin is freshly shaved, sunburned, or irritated we may recommend waiting a few days for safer waxing.

Avoid hot showers, heavy sweating, sun exposure, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Apply a soothing lotion or aloe, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and avoid fragranced products to prevent irritation.
